Impaired Operation

A 63 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after we were called to a restaurant in the city, last night. At 9:30 p.m. we were called by an alert employee who was concerned about a customers ability to operate their vehicle after picking up their food. When we arrived, we located the individual asleep behind the wheel. Through investigation, it was learned the driver had consumed alcohol and was impaired. The 63 year was transported to police headquarters where breath samples resulted in readings of 110 and 100 ml/80mg. They were charged with Operation while Impaired Plus 80 and Operation while Impaired by Alcohol and later released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST25006665

Intimate Partner Violence 

A 26 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after we were called to a west end address, last night. At 8:00 p.m. we were called to the address by a victim who reported being assaulted by their spouse. Through investigation, it was learned an verbal argument had escalated resulting in the victim being physically assaulted. The 26 year old accused was charged with one count of Assault and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and later released on an undertaking with a future court date. Assault

An 18 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested and charged with Assault and two counts of Failure to Comply with Probation after we were called to a disturbance downtown, Wednesday morning. Just after 10 a.m. we were called to an address on Princess Avenue after receiving several 911 calls in regards to an active disturbance. Through investigation it was learned that the 18 year old had assaulted a staff member while they were attempting to stop them from assaulting another resident. The 18 year old was located a short a distance away and was transported to police headquarters to be processed. As the result of a court appearance, the individual was remanded into custody. Break and Enter

Approximately $5,000 in commercial electrical material has been reported stolen from a business on Edward Street. On Wednesday April 23th 2025, we were called to the area by an employee who wish to report that a hole had been cut in the fence surrounding the property and the material had been stolen. This remains under investigation. ST25006608

Counterfeit Money

$150 in counterfeit bills have been turned over to the STPS. On Tuesday April 22nd, we were called to a retail store on Talbot Street to investigate the report of possible counterfeit money. Through investigation, the bills were determined to be fake. Video surveillance of the transaction in which they were used is currently being reviewed as we continue to investigate. ST25006571

Warrant Arrests

A 32 year old St. Thomas resident wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Assault and Failure to Comply with Release Order has been arrested. While on community patrol on Wednesday afternoon, the individual was located and transported to police headquarters by our officers. They were processed and later released on an appearance with a future court date. ST25006631

A 37 year old St. Thomas resident wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Assault with a Weapon stemming from an incident in March, has been arrested. While dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter, we were made aware of the warrant for arrest. The 37 year old was processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. A 34 year old St. Thomas resident wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Mischief has been arrested. On Wednesday April 23rd 2025, we located the individual who had been charged after being identified as the person responsible for causing damage to a parked car, earlier this month. The 34 year old was processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST25006644/5578

A 31 year old St. Thomas resident that had been charged with the use of counterfeit money, has been arrested. The warrant had been issued for the individual after they were identified as the person responsible for using counterfeit bills in a transaction at a retail store in city in September of 2024. The 31 year old was processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST25006651/ST24018938
