Assault Police 

A 17 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Assault Peace Officer, Resist Arrest and Theft under $5,000 after we were called to investigate the report of a theft that had occurred. At 8:30 p.m. last night, we were called to a southside convenience store to investigate the report of an unknown individual failing to pay for two cases of beer. We attended the area and located the individual with the beer, a short distance away. While being placed under arrest, the teen became combative resisting arrest and assaulting an officer. The 17 year old was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25006236

Warrant Arrest 

A 30 year old St. Thomas resident attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant for Assault, after being charged following an investigation in the fall. The individual was processed and released with a future court date. ST25006196

A 24 year old St. Thomas resident attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding probation warrant. The individual was processed and released with a future court date. ST25006198

A 53 year old St. Thomas resident attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding DNA warrant. The warrant was processed and the individual was released. ST25006205

Fraud

A St. Thomas resident is out $2,000 after falling victim to a scam. On Wednesday April 16th 2025, the victim contacted STPS to report that when applying for a loan, they were advised to send a security deposit. Once the deposit was sent, communication stopped and the victim could no longer make contact. This remains under investigation. ST25006208

Theft 

$75 of alcohol has been reported stolen from a grocery store on Talbot Street. Yesterday, we attended the store to investigate the report of an unknown individual failing to pay for their items. We are reviewing video of the incident as we continue to investigate. ST25006225
