Warrant arrests

A 44 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday April 10th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for Assault. The individual was arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24005653

A 28 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday April 10th 2024, St. Thomas police were contacted by Toronto Police who had the individual in custody on the strength of our warrant. The 28 year old had been charged with Theft under $5,000, Mischief and Failure to Comply with Release Order after an incident in 2022. STPS attended Toronto and took custody of the individual who was transported to police headquarters, processed and held for court. ST24005672

A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday April 10th 2024, officers were called to Elgin and Talbot Street to investigate the report of an unwanted person. Upon arrival, police located the 32 year old who was known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Mischief, stemming from an incident in December of 2023. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for court. ST24005674

Breach of Probation

A 33 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday April 10th 2024, employees of a convenience store on Talbot Street called police to inform them that an individual who had been trespassed from the property, had attended and was in the store. Upon arrival, police located the 33 year old known to them to be on conditions to not attend the address. As a result, the individual was charged with one count Failure to Comply with Probation, transported to police headquarters and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24005645

Theft

Approximately $300 of merchandise has been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Wednesday April 10th 2024, officers were called by loss prevention staff who wished to report an unknown individual attended the store and was captured on video concealing multiple items in their bag. The individual left the store, failing to pay. This remains under investigation. ST24005688
