Warrant Arrests, Break and Enters, Multiple Shoplifts

Warrant Arrest

St. Thomas Police were contacted by the Sarnia Police on Saturday afternoon, seeking assistance in locating and arresting an individual.  Officers were able to attend an address in the city and arrest a female resident of the city on Sarnia’s behalf.  The female was arrested and later released with conditions pending a court appearance, on behalf of the Sarnia Police.  ST25013206

Southside Break and Enter

Officers were called to a house under construction on the city’s south side Saturday after a break in was discovered.  Taken in the break-in were numerous tools and copper wiring.  The tools totaled a loss of $2500 and the copper was valued at $1600.  The matter is under investigation.  ST25013209

Warrant Arrest

A St. Thomas resident was arrested Saturday by members of the Huron OPP.  The female had been wanted on an outstanding warrant in the city.  She would be released by the OPP after receiving documentation with a new court date, from St. Thomas Police.  ST25013229

 

Multiple Shoplifters arrested and sought.

Saturday night members of the St. Thomas police were kept busy with several reports of shoplifters in the city’s northend.  In the first instance a 40 year old St. Thomas is sought following the theft of numerous items from a local retail store.  Officers were able to identify the subject due to numerous similar related police involvments, a warrant is being sought for his arrest.  ST25013231

Officers responded on separate occasions to a north-end retailer after the same individual was captured on multiple occasions attending at the store and stealing items.  Due to his numerous involvements with police he was easily identified and arrested on Sunday morning.  The accused St. Thomas man was at large and wanted on 2 separate matters.  He would be held and later released with a future court date and conditions to abide by.   ST25013236/ST25013235

A female St. Thomas resident was identified and arrested following a complaint involving the theft of multiple tubs of ice cream on Saturday night.  The woman, again, was easily identifiable to officers as a result of her numerous police involvements, and as such a warrant is being sought for her arrest.  ST25013239

 

Arrest made in Sexual Assault Case

Peel Regional Police contacted the STPS overnight on Saturday night reporting that they had arrested a male in connection with a sexual assault investigation reported in St. Thomas.  A 22 year old Brampton man was arrested in this matter and released but  will report to the Elgin County Courthouse in the near future to answer to the charges.  ST25013044/ST25013241
