Media release Sunday April 6th, 2025

Theft x2 and Warrant:

On Thursday a business on Talbot contacted police in relation to a theft of groceries.  A male was captured on CCTV removing $20 worth of products without paying (ST25005413).  On Saturday police were contacted by a second grocery store on Talbot in relation to a male attending and taking approximately $130 worth of merchandise and not paying (ST25005563).   Police located 30 year old male from St. Thomas and arrested him for both theft offences along with a bench warrant (ST250075).  The male was held in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

Warrant:

On Saturday police, during patrol, observed a 39 year old St. Thomas resident and arrested the male on the strength of a warrant.  The male was released on a undertaking with conditions and a new court date. ST25005571

Mischief:

During active patrol by police on Saturday police located a young person engaging in the act of mischief placing graffiti on a parking sign on Talbot street.  Police arrested the young person and contacted their parent.  The young person was released on a promise to appear with a future court date.  ST25005529

Mischief:

During the early morning hours of Sunday April 6, 2025 police were contacted for a vehicle with their front windshield smashed parked on Talbot street.  Police attended and located the vehicle with damage to the windshield.  Police are currently investigating the matter and are requesting assistance of the public if you observed anyone in the area or have video of the event please contact St. Thomas police at 519-631-1224 or Crime stoppers.
