Impaired Operation
Just before 2pm on Friday officers responded to the Moore Street area of the city in response to a motor vehicle collision. After receiving the call for service it was learned that several witnesses were present and were attempting to interfere with the driver leaving the area. When officers arrived on scene they spoke to the female driver. After a brief interaction it was determined that the 42yr old woman’s ability to operate her vehicle was impaired by alcohol. She was placed under arrest and brought to the station, where she provided two samples of breath. The results of the tests indicated that the woman’s Blood Alcohol Content was nearly 4 times the legal limit. The woman was charged with Operation While Impaired and Operation in excess of 80mgs of alcohol. Due to her level of intoxication she was held in custody until sober and eventually released with a court date. Her license was also suspended for a period of 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for 7 days. ST26019284
