Arson Investigation
St. Thomas Police are investigating after an arson was reported by a local business. On Friday March 13th, 2026 police were called to a north end business after a dumpster caught fire overnight. Through investigation, St. Thomas Police Service deemed the fire to be suspicious and it is being investigated as an arson. ST26004304

Thefts
$100 of items have been reported stolen from a downtown store. On Friday, officers were called to the store to investigate the report of an unknown male failing to pay for his items. Police searched the area for the male however were unable to locate him. Video has been provided to police for further investigation. ST26004320
A 35 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested. On March 13th, police responded to a retail store after a report of a theft. A female suspect allegedly left the store with almost $200 of grocery items she didn’t pay for. The female was also wanted by our service for a previous theft from three days prior. Fraud
A local resident is out $23,000 after falling victim to a scam. Last month, the victim reached out to what they thought was a financial business account on a popular social media platform inquiring about obtaining a loan. The victim was instructed to purchase gift cards and provide their financial information in order to receive the loan. This remains under investigation by our Criminal Investigations Bureau. Intimate Partner Violence
St. Thomas Police attended a north end residence for a domestic dispute. Investigation revealed that a 21 year old St. Thomas resident had a physical altercation with their 21 year old domestic partner. As a result, the 21 year old accused was arrested for spousal assault, processed and released on an Undertaking with conditions. ST26004342
Mischief
St. Thomas Police were called to a residence in the City’s north end for vandalized inflatable décor. An individual was captured on CCTV puncturing the inflatable decoration with a sharp object. The investigation is still under investigation. ST26004348
