Assault

St. Thomas police are currently investigating the report of an assault. While on an unrelated call for service early Sunday morning, officers were approached by an individual who wished to report they were just assaulted by an unknown individual in the area of Princess Avenue and Centre Street. CCTV in the area is being reviewed as police attempt to identify the accused party. ST25016707

Residential Break and Enter 

A 29 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged after attending an address on the westside of the city. On Saturday afternoon, we attended the area to investigate the report of an individual known to the residents, causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, police observed damage to a door that had been kicked open to gain entry. The 29 year old has been charged with one count Break and Enter. A warrant for arrested has been requested. Commercial Break and Enter

St. Thomas police are investigating the report of a break and enter at a convenience store in the 900 block of Talbot Street. On Sunday afternoon, we were called by the store owner who wished to report an unknown individual had gained access to their business by causing damage to the door. Police are looking to identify the individual in the photos below as the party responsible. If you recognize this person, please contact police or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers. Theft Investigations

$107 of merchandise has been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Sunday, officers were called to the store to investigate the report of an unknown individual who selected a backpack, filled it with general merchandise and left the store, failing to pay. CCTV of the incident is available and being reviewed. This remains under investigation. ST25016723

A theft that occurred on September 11th has been reported to police. On Sunday, we were called by loss prevention staff who were reviewing video surveillance that captured two unknown individuals conceal several items before leaving the store, failing to pay. The video has been provided to police to investigate further. ST25016725

A black and grey duffle bag, green water jug and black jacket have been report stolen from an address on Mandeville Road. Just before 6 a.m. this morning, police were called to the area by an individual who wished to report a theft had just occurred. It was reported the individual was at the end of their driveway waiting for their ride to work when they left their items to pop back inside for their work boots. When they came back, all of their property valued at approximately $1,200 had been stolen. This remains under investigation. ST25016760

Warrant Arrest

A 53 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. This morning, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for Theft under $5,000 and Failure to Comply with Undertaking stemming from an incident in April. The 53 year old was transported to police headquarters, processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25016759/07191/06283
