Bike Theft

On Friday March 3rd 2023, St. Thomas Police were called to investigate a bike theft from a local gym. It was reported that sometime between the hours of 5:45 PM and 7:30 PM on Wednesday March 1st, both a bike and its lock were stolen from a bike rack outside. The bike is described as being black with gold lettering. STPS are continuing their investigation. ST23003381

Arrested

On Sunday March 5th 2023 at approximately 3:30 AM, a 32 year St. Thomas male was arrested on an outstanding warrant for theft under $5,000 after he was identified as the suspect stealing a bike from home in the north end of the city last week. Officers on community patrol were dealing with the man on an unrelated matter when it was discovered he had a warrant for his arrest. The male was transported to Police Headquarters to be processed and was later released on an appearance notice. ST23003500

On Sunday March 5th 2023 just before midnight, St. Thomas Police located and arrested a 30 year old St. Thomas man on an outstanding warrant for Possession of Stolen Property. He was transported to Police Headquarters where he was held for court. ST23003562

Found Property

On Sunday March 5th 2023, Officers on community patrol were called to a local retail store to take a report of found property. Upon arrival Police were able to retrieve several construction related tools and items. STPS are continuing their investigation and reviewing video surveillance. ST23003518

Theft & Fraud

On Sunday March 5th 2023, just before 4:00 PM St. Thomas Police spoke with a local resident who wished to report the theft of their wallet. Through investigation it was learned that the victim had their wallet stolen the previous day and as result, were notified by their bank of several transactions totaling $7,000. This remains under investigation. ST23003530
