Graffiti
CCTV is being reviewed after graffiti was located on Moore Street. On Sunday, city staff called police to report several areas of the Veterans Memorial Garden had been graffitied with chalk. Police attended and observed various political statements and phrases. This remains under investigation. ST26005293
Theft
A 43 year old St. Thomas woman has been charged after being identified by police as the person responsible for stealing a purse. On Sunday officers were called to an address on Talbot Street after the victim reported that while at an event, their purse had been stolen from the lobby. Officers reviewed available video and confirmed the identity of the suspect. A warrant for her arrest has been requested. ST26005304
A wallet has been reported stolen from a vehicle parked on Kains Street. On Sunday, police were contacted in regards to the vehicle entry that had occurred in the overnight hours. No damage was reported. ST26005313
Two St. Thomas women were arrested after police were called to a grocery store on Wellington Street, Sunday evening. It was reported that two unknown individuals had failed to pay for their items. A description of the pair was provided to police. Both women were located a short distance away with the items reported stolen. Charged with Theft under $5,000, a 33 year old St. Thomas women was transported to police headquarters to be processed. She was held to attend court as she is currently on three undertakings for similar offences. A 35 year old St. Thomas woman was charged with Theft under $5,000, processed at police headquarters and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST26005321/5323
