Disturbance leads to arrest, two teens charged
St. Thomas Police have charged two 16-year-old youths following a disturbance at the St. Anne’s Festival, Friday evening.
At 4:30 p.m. event volunteers alerted police after a group of male youths, previously removed by security, returned and began shouting disruptive comments near the festival grounds. A verbal altercation took place between the youths and an event staff member, during which a threatening remark was made.
Police initiated an investigation and were able to identify those involved with the assistance of still images provided by event security.
Two youths have since been charged with Uttering Threats. Both attended police headquarters voluntarily after being notified of the charges. They were released on youth undertakings with future court dates.

Intimate Partner Violence
A 48 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Assault after police were called to a northside address, Sunday morning. Through investigation, police learned a verbal dispute between spouses had escalated and turned physical. As a result, the accused was arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25009696
Warrant Arrest
A 32 year old St. Thomas resident wanted on an outstanding probation warrant, has been arrested. On Sunday afternoon, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on the warrant that was issued in 2022. The 32 year old was processed and released with a future court date. Fraud Investigation
The St. Thomas Police Service is investigating the report of fraud involving a moving company hired to transport a resident’s belongings from St. Thomas to a neighbouring Province.
On May 26th, the employees of the hired moving company attended a local storage facility and a residential apartment to collect household items scheduled for delivery by May 29th. The items have not yet arrived.
The victim initially maintained contact with a company representative who claimed there was delay due to vehicle issues. However, further communication attempts have been unsuccessful.
The complainant later discovered multiple online reviews alleging fraudulent activity by the same company and contacted police. The total financial loss reported is over $4,000, with the estimated value of the missing property at approximately $100,000.
Police continue to investigate, including efforts to obtain video surveillance of the individuals involved from relevant locations.

Theft
A bike, reported stolen from the employee bike rack of a business on Talbot Street has been recovered and returned. Early this morning, an employee working security at the business called to report an unknown individual had gained access to the area and was seen walking away with the bike. We attended and located the bike, discarded by a nearby retail area and returned it. ST25009736
