Failure to comply 

A 45 year old St. Thomas resident is wanted by STPS after police were called to investigate the report of unwanted contact. On Friday January 5th 2024, police learned that the 45 year old accused was in breach of their release conditions. As a result of the investigation, the 45 year old has been charged with 2 counts of Failure to Comply with Undertaking. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24000226

Suspended driver, additionally charged

A 23 year old St. Thomas resident has been additionally charged after a traffic stop in the city, Friday evening. While on general patrol an automatic license plate reader alerted an officer of a suspended driver. A traffic stop was initiated and police learned the driver had been served a driving suspension in December of 2023. As a result, the 23 year old driver was charged with Driving While Under Suspension and their vehicle was towed. ST24000232

Theft

St. Thomas police are currently investigating a theft that occurred from a grocery store on William Street. On Saturday January 6th 2024, officers were called to the store for the report of an unknown person who had concealed grocery items in their jacket and left the store without paying. Police are reviewing available video surveillance as they continue to investigate. ST24000258

St. Thomas police are currently investigating the theft of a bike. On Sunday January 7th 2024, offices were called to an address on Wellington Street to investigate the incident. Upon arrival, officers learned two unknown individuals enter the complainants property and left with the bike. Video surveillance of this incident is being reviewed as police continue to investigate. Break and enter investigation 

St. Thomas police are currently investigating a break and enter incident that occurred at a restaurant on Talbot Street in the early morning hours of January 1st, 2024. Through investigation, police have learned that an unknown person(s) had smashed the window of a rear door to the restaurant and gained entry. Reported stolen was 3 bottles of vodka.
