A 39 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested following a sexual assault investigation. Charged with Sexual Assault on a Person under 16 and Sexual Interference, the accused was arrested and transported to police headquarters on Sunday evening. Assault & Theft
A 30 year old St. Thomas woman has been charged with several offences after an incident on Sunday afternoon. Just after 3:30 p.m. officers attended a northside address to investigate the report of unwanted parties causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers learned parties known to the tenants at the residence had entered, stole a cell phone and assaulted an individual. The involved parties had left the area prior to police arrival. Through investigation, officers have formed grounds to charged the 30 year old St. Thomas woman with Assault, Unlawfully in a dwelling and Theft under $5,000. Unlawfully in a Dwelling
A 29 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested after officers were called to attended a northside address, last night. At 6:30 p.m. officers were called to the address to investigate the report of an unknown man entering the residence and startling the occupants. The individual left the area prior to police arrival. A description was provided to police who located the 29 year old St. Thomas man a short distance away. He was charged with Unlawfully in a Dwelling and transported to police headquarters. The accused was processed and later released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST26000174
Theft
A 43 year old West Elgin man has been arrested after officers were called to investigate a shoplifting incident. On Sunday, police attended a retail store on Talbot Street for the report of an unknown male failing to pay for approximately $100 of merchandise. Officers were provided a description of the accused who was located a short distance away and arrested. Charged with Theft under $5,000, the man was processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST26000163
A quantity of grocery items have been reported stolen from a west end grocery store. On Sunday, police were called to the store to investigate the report of an unknown female failing to pay for her items. Video of the incident is being provided to police. ST26000175
