Warrant arrests

A 47 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Saturday February 3rd 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding probation warrant. The individual was processed and released on an appearance notice. ST24001650

A 46 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Sunday February 4th 2024, STPS was advised by Aylmer Police that they had the individual in their custody on the strength our warrant for Theft under $5,000 and Failure to Comply with Probation Order. The 46 year old St. Thomas resident was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24001723

A 30 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Sunday February 4th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for several offences dating back to 2023. The 30 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a court appearance, Monday. ST24001736

Failure to Comply

A 32 year old St. Thomas resident is wanted by police after failing to comply with their release conditions. On Sunday February 4th 2024, officers were called to investigate the report of the individual attending an address they are on conditions to not attend. Through investigation, police have formed grounds to charge the 32 year old with 2 counts of Failure to Comply with Probation Order. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24001691

A 61 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with one count Failure to Comply with Release Order after officers were called to investigate the report of unwanted contact. Through investigation it was learned the accused was attempting to contact an individual they are on conditions to not speak to. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24001748

Break and enter

STPS are currently investigating a break and enter that occurred at a business in the west end of the city. On Sunday February 4th 2024, officers were called by a concerned citizen who reported suspicious activity in the area. Upon arrival, officers observed a window had been damaged and an attempt to take items from inside was made, however unsuccessful. This remains under investigation. ST24001699

Arson investigation

At approximately 5:30 a.m. on Monday February 5th 2024 St. Thomas were called by St. Thomas Fire to investigate the possibility of arson after a fire behind a retail plaza on Talbot Street. The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported. This remains under investigation. ST24001754
