Impaired Operation 

A 25 year old St. Thomas man has been charged with Impaired Operation Plus 80 after police were notified of a suspicious vehicle on Wellington Street. At 9:30 a.m. on Sunday officers attended an address on Wellington Street to investigate the report of a vehicle on the side of the road, with the driver appearing to be asleep at the wheel. Officers located the vehicle in question and an attempt to wake the driver was made. While speaking with the driver, officers were concerned he was impaired. Two subsequent breath samples registered 160mg/100ml and 140mg/100ml. The individual was transported to police headquarters, processed and later released on an undertaking with a future court. Recovered Stolen Vehicle 

A vehicle, stolen from an address on Sunset Drive has been recovered. On Sunday morning, Elgin OPP called to notify STPS that the vehicle had been located severally damaged at an address in Dutton. This remains under investigation. ST25022590

Mischief

A 26 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Mischief after we were called to a disturbance on the northside of the city, Sunday afternoon. Police attended an address on Confederation Drive to investigate the report of the accused causing damage at a residence. The 26 year old was located a short distance away and subsequently charged with one count of Mischief. The individual was processed and later released on an appearance notice. ST25022596

Threats 

A 29 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Uttering Threats and Failure to Comply with Probation after police were called to an address on the southside of the city on Sunday evening. It was reported that the accused had threaten a tenant at the address after being questioned about stealing personal property. The accused had left the area prior to police arrival. The 29 year old has additionally been charged with Theft under $5,000 after police were called to a west end convenience store a short time later, for the report of the accused stealing a case of beer. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST25022616/22627

Theft

Approximately $100 of toys and general merchandise have been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Sunday, police were called to investigate the report of an unknown male, failing to pay for his items. Video of the incident has been provided to police. ST25022599
