Warrant

On Saturday April 1st, 2023 a 22 year old St. Thomas male attended Police Headquarters to turn himself in on an outstanding warrant with our service for 1 count Failure to Comply with Probation Order. The warrant was executed without issue and the male was released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST23005166

Stunt Driving

On Sunday April 2nd, while conducting traffic enforcement on Sunset Drive, St. Thomas Police captured a vehicle travelling more than 50km’s above the posted speed limit. As such, the vehicle was safely stopped by Police resulting in a 19 year old London male being charged with 1 count Driving While Under Suspension and 1 count Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed. The driver was served with his paperwork and notified of his court date. The vehicle was towed and impounded for 14 days. ST23005202

Impaired Driver & Possession 

On Sunday April 2nd, 2023 St. Thomas Police were contacted by an alert citizen who wished to report a suspicious person in a vehicle at a retail store on the north side of the city. Upon arrival, STPS were able to locate the vehicle and the occupant of concern. As a result, a 34 year old St. Thomas man was charged with 1 count operation while impaired by drugs and 1 count possession of scheduled substance. Seized was a total of 8.7 grams of suspected fentanyl, valued at $4,200. The man was transported to Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on an appearance notice. The vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days. ST23005225

Mischief

On Sunday April 2nd, 2023 St. Thomas Police were called to a downtown retail store to investigate the report of mischief. Through investigation, it was learned that a commercial delivery truck had a window smashed sometime after 5 PM the previous day. St. Thomas Police are reviewing the available cameras in the area, continuing their investigation. ST23005214
