Impaired Operation
A 35 year old St. Thomas woman has been charged following a single vehicle collision that occurred in the early morning hours of October 23rd, 2025. Shortly after 5:00 a.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle that had collided with a parked car in the laneway of a residence on Maple Street. It was reported that the driver had exited the vehicle and fled the area on foot. Responding officers located the accused a short distance. The woman had sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. While being assessed, concerns that the woman was impaired were identified. She performed poorly on the standard field sobriety test and subsequent testing conducted by a Drug Recognition Expert resulted in the driver being placed under arrest.

Intimate Partner Violence
A 46 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested after police were called to a disturbance at a Talbot Street address early this morning. Upon arrival, officers located the accused who had caused minor injury to their spouse as the result of an altercation that had turned physical. When attempting to arrest the man, he actively resisted officers. The 46 year old was taken into custody and charged with one count of Assault and one count of Resist Peace Officer. He was processed at police headquarters and held for a morning court appearance. ST25019549
Commercial Break and Enter
St. Thomas Police are currently investigating a break and enter that occurred at a property on Ontario Street in the overnight hours of Wednesday October 22nd. It was reported that unknown individuals entered a locked garage and main building on the property, removing approximately $5,000 worth of copper and a quantity of scrap copper pipe and fittings. No other damage to the property was found. This remains under investigation. ST25019511
Warrant Arrests
A 40 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested. On Thursday, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000 after being charged in relation to a shoplifting incident that occurred last week. The woman was processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST25019501
A 16 year old charged with Possession of Property Obtain by Crime, has been arrested. On Thursday, we were contacted by the Niagara Regional Police Service who had the individual in their custody on the strength of our warrant that had been issued after a stolen vehicle investigation from October 2024. Theft
A 70 year old St. Thomas woman has been charged with Theft under $5,000 after we were called to a retail store on Talbot Street, Thursday afternoon. The accused had been stopped by store staff attempting to leave with several unpaid for items. Police attended and arrested the woman who was processed and released on an appearance notice to attend court. All items were recovered and returned. ST25019527
Vehicle Entry
Sunglasses and employee identification have been reported stolen from a vehicle on Acorn Trail. On Thursday, the vehicle owner called police to report that at some point in the overnight hours their vehicle had been entered and the items stolen. ST25019541
