Forcible Confinement, Assault
A 37 year old Tillsonburg resident has been arrested and charged after an incident in the city, on Thursday. Just after 4:30 a.m. a 911 call was received about the concern of an individual who was forced into a vehicle and assaulted. Through investigation officers learned an argument between a group of individuals, known to each other had escalated, resulting in the victim in this matter being driven away from the address against their will. Police located the suspect vehicle and the victim a short distance away. EMS was called to attend and treat the victim for injuries to their face, while officers continued their investigation.
As a result, the 37 year old Tillsonburg resident was charged with Assault, Robbery with Theft, Disobey Court Order and Forcible Confinement. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed to attend court and subsequently remanded into custody. ST24021157
Intimate Partner Violence
A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday November 21st 2024, officers were called to an address on the southside of the city to investigate the report of an assault that had occurred. Upon arrival, police learned a verbal altercation between spouses had escalated resulting in a physical assault. The victim had sustained minor injuries. As a result, the 39 year old was charged with Assault and Failure to Comply with Release Order. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24021188
Utter Threats
A 43 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged. On Thursday November 21st 2024, officers were called to a retail store on Talbot Street for the report of an unwanted person. Upon arrival, officers learned the 43 year old had threatened store staff. The individual had left the store prior to police arrival. Through investigation and review of CCTV, police confirmed the identity of the individual. As result, a 43 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with one count of Utter Threats. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24021194
