Road Rage Assault
A driver entering the city on Thursday evening contacted police to report being assaulted following a road rage incident. The victim reported being punched in the face by an unknown person after pulling into a service centre on Highbury Avenue. The victim had pulled off the road to avoid the aggressive driver when they were followed and was subsequently assaulted. This remains under investigation. ST26007750
Assault
A 54 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested. On Thursday evening officers were called to a neighbourhood on the northside of the city to investigate the report of an assault. Through investigation police learned a verbal argument between neighbours had turned physical. Charged with one count of Assault, the 54 year old was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST26007753
Warrant Arrest Leads to Drug Charges
A 35 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. Early this morning, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service stemming from an incident in October where he had been charged Failure to Comply with Probation and Possession of a Schedule I Substance. The individual was transported to police headquarters to be processed. A search incident to arrest found the accused to be in possession of a quantity of drugs. Additionally charged with two counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance and Failure to Comply with Probation, he was held to attend court. ST26007773/25020037
Fraud
Police are investigating the report of a fraud. On Thursday, a local resident called police to report they had been scammed out of $200 after receiving a call from an individual claiming to be a representative of Rogers. The victim was offered a monthly savings package if they completed an e-transfer. This is the second report of this type of scam this week. The STPS reminds the community to verify the source and to not sending money or provide financial details or credit card information over the phone. Protect yourself from fraud. ST26007756

Several solar lights have been reported stolen from a residential area on Confederation Drive. On Thursday, officers were called to investigate the report of the lights being stolen and an attempt to remove string lights from a gazebo. Video has been provided to police. ST26007716
