Media Release Friday March 10th 2023

Mischief

On Thursday March 9th 2023 at approximately 5:30 AM,  St. Thomas Police were called to investigate an active disturbance in the north west area of the city. As as result, a 27 year old St. Thomas man was taken into custody and charged with 1 count Mischief – Domestic and 1 count Possession of a Controlled Substance. The man was transported to Police Headquarters where he was released into OPP custody for an unrelated warrant. ST23003783

Stolen Truck

On Thursday March 9th 2023, St. Thomas Police we called to investigate the theft of a 2019 Dodge Ram. It was reported that the truck was stolen from the laneway of a home in the city’s south east end. The truck has Ontario License Plate BB 41672 and is distinguishable with a broken front passenger side head-light. Arrested

On Thursday March 9th 2023 at approximately 9:00 AM, Officers on community patrol located and arrested a 32 year old St. Thomas man on multiple outstanding warrants held by our service. The man was held for court and later released on an undertaking. ST23003788

On Thursday March 9th 2023 at approximately 4:30 PM, St. Thomas Police were notified by Lambton OPP of a 54 year old St. Thomas woman in their custody on the strength of our service’s warrant. She was processed and release on an appearance notice. St23003789

On Thursday March 9th 2023 at approximately 1:00 PM, Officers on community patrol located and arrested at 36 year old St. Thomas woman on the strength of our service’s warrant. The woman was transported to Police Headquarters where she was processed and released by the courts. ST23003801

Bike Theft

On Thursday March 9th 2023 at approximately 4:30 PM, St. Thomas Police were called to investigate the theft of a bike at the YMCA. Between the hours of 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Friday March 3rd 2023, a Red and Black Norco Hardtail that had been locked to a bike rack on the property was stolen. The bike is valued at approximately $2,500. St. Thomas Police are reviewing video surveillance and continuing their investigation. ST23003816

Theft

On Thursday March 9th 2023 just before 5:00 PM, St. Thomas Police were called to the LCBO after a male entered the store, selected 3 bottles of liquor with the approximate value of $220. The male then immediately left the store making no attempt to pay. He is described as wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black pants, dark shoes and a black toque with a small white patch on the front. St. Thomas Police are reviewing video surveillance and continuing their investigation. ST23003819

Shoplifting 

On Thursday March 9th 2023 at approximately 8:30 PM,  St. Thomas Police were called to investigate a shoplifting incident that had just occurred at a local grocery store. Officers were able to identify the suspect through video surveillance. A warrant for 1 count of Theft Under $5,000 has been issued for 34 year Brooks Ferris. ST23003829
