Warrant Arrest

On Friday morning a 32 year old London man attended the police station to turn himself in on an outstanding warrant. He was wanted for assaulting a family member. The man was processed and later released with a future court date ^3846

Vehicle Entries

Sometime overnight on Thursday a vehicle was entered while it was parked in the driveway of a south end home. The vehicle was unlocked and the suspect left with the victim’s purse containing her identification and debit card. The debit card was used at a local convenience store twice before it was cancelled. A second vehicle entry occurred overnight on Thursday. This vehicle entry also occurred in the south end of the City and it is unknown if the two incidents are related. No property was taken from the vehicle. The STPS reminds residents to lock your vehicles and take your valuables inside. ^3850

Assault

A 48 year old St. Thomas man is wanted for Assault following an incident that occurred on Friday afternoon in the downtown core. Investigation revealed that the man had been involved in a dispute with the victim and had struck the victim in the face causing minor injuries. The male fled prior to police arrival. A warrant is being requested. ^3868

Stolen Property

Police are investigating after members of the STPS observed a known 43 year old male in the downtown core with suspected stolen property. The items in his possession were observed to have security tags attached. The property has been recovered and the investigation is continuing. Theft

Shortly after 8pm on Friday night police were called to a local business in the 1000 block of Talbot St for reports of a shoplifter. A male party selected more than $500 of merchandise before exiting with no attempt to pay. The male fled on foot when he was approached by an employee regarding the theft. The merchandise was recovered and police have identified the suspect using CCTV. As a result, a 40 year old man is charged with Theft Under $5000, Fail to Comply with Probation, and Fail to Comply with Release Order. A warrant is being requested. ^3894
