Warrant Arrest Leads to Drug Charges

A 37 year old St. Thomas resident wanted by our service for Possession of Property Obtain by Crime has been arrested. On Thursday afternoon, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on the outstanding warrant in relation to vehicle entry in November. The 37 year old was transported to police headquarters where a search incident to arrest found the individual to be in possession of a quantity of suspected opioids. As a result, they were additionally charged with one count of Possession of a Schedule I Substance. The individual was processed on all charges and held to attend court, Friday morning. Theft

A 12-speed mountain bike with white handle bars has been reported stolen from an address on Edward Street. On Thursday morning, the owner of the bike contacted STPS to report that they had secured the bike outside on Wednesday evening and returned to find it missing. This remains under investigation. A bicycle, reported stolen from an address on Wellington Street has been returned to its rightful owner. On Thursday morning, the owner of the bike contacted STPS to report that their bike had been secured in a parking garage on Wellington Street on Wednesday evening but was now gone. Officers successfully located and returned the bike. ST25010007

St. Thomas police are currently investigating the report of stolen dog food. On Thursday, we were called to attend a retail store on Talbot Street to investigate the report of an unknown individual attending the store and failing to pay for two bags of dog food, a total value of $246. Photos the individual and the car they were seen leaving the area in are below. Dine and Dash – Food Fraud 

St. Thomas police are currently investigating the report of an unknown individual failing to pay for their food and drinks at a local restaurant. We are reviewing video of the incident as we continue to investigate. ST25010031

Warrant Arrests

A 46 year old St. Thomas resident wanted by our service for Theft under $5,000 has been arrested. On Thursday, officers on community patrol were dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter when they became aware of the outstanding warrant in relation to an incident in April. The 46 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25010034

A 20 year old St. Thomas resident wanted by our service for Theft under $5,000 has been arrested. On Thursday, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant in relation to a shoplifting incident in May. The 20 year old was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25010041
