Intimate Partner Violence 

A 22 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested and charged after we were called to a Talbot Street address, Thursday morning. The victim called 911 to report that a verbal argument between them and their spouse had escalated, resulting in a physical assault. Through investigation, the 22 year old was charged with one count of Assault and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and later released on an undertaking with a future court date. A 51 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after we were called to address on John Street, last night. Police attended the address after receiving a 911 call from someone in the residence asking for help. Upon arrival, officers learned an argument between spouses had escalated resulting in damage to property and a physical assault. As a result, the 51 year old accused was charged with one count of Mischief and one count of Assault. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25011608

Unlawfully in a Dwelling 

A 34 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to an address on Wellington Street, Thursday morning. We were called to the address by a homeowner who woke up to find an unknown individual in their house. We attended the area and located the 34 year old inside the residence. The individual was charged with one count of Unlawfully in a Dwelling and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. No damage to the residence was found and no injuries were reported. ST25011533

Warrant Arrest

A 34 year old St. Thomas resident, wanted by York Regional Police has been arrested. On Thursday, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on YRP’s outstanding warrant for Harassment, Utter Threats and Breach of Probation. We notified their agency and exchanged custody of the individual. ST25011594

Theft

A 34 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Theft under $5,000 after being identified as the person responsible in a shoplifting incident from a retail store on Talbot Street, Wednesday. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST25011534

Mischief

Damage to a vehicle parked on Bonnie Place has been reported to police. On Thursday night, we were called to the area to investigate the report of an unknown person slashing the tires of a truck. This remains under investigation. ST25011613
