A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday February 1st 2024 officers on community patrol located the individual know to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Breach of Probation. The 39 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24001548
A 13 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday February 1st 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant with our service for Sexual Assault – under 16, after the conclusion of an investigation. The 13 year old was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24001551
Fraud
St. Thomas police are currently investigating an online fraud that has resulted in a local business being out close to $3,000. On Thursday February 1st 2024, STPS was contacted by the business who wish to report a suspicious transaction and transfer of funds through their online banking. Through investigation, police learned the business’s computer had been compromised. This remains under investigation. ST24001514
Mischief
St. Thomas police are currently investigating an incident of property damage that occurred at a northside address. On February 1st 2024, officers were called by the homeowner who wish to report that sometime in the overnight hours a bedroom window and been broken and items on their property had been ruined. Sexual assault
As the result of a sexual assault investigation that began on January 30th 2024, a 74 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday January 31st 2024, the individual was arrested and charged with 2 counts Sexual Interference, 2 counts Sexual Assault – under 16 and 1 count Invitation to Sexual Touching – under 16. As the result of a court appearance, the 74 year old St. Thomas has been remanded into custody. ST24001443
