Warrant Arrest
A 34 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday December 12th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for Theft under $5,000 after being identified as the person responsible in several theft investigations from earlier this week. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24022452
A 28 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday December 12th 2024, police were contacted by a loss prevention employee at a retail store on Talbot Street who wished to report that an individual previously trespassed from the store had just left, failing to pay for their items. Through investigation, officers learned the individual had been charged with one count of Assault, stemming from an incident on December 3rd where an employee attempted to stop them from leaving after concealing merchandise and was assaulted. Officers were provided a description of the vehicle the individual left the area in and it was located it a short distance away. As the result of a traffic stop, the 28 year old was arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. Theft Investigation
A 22 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with one count of Break Enter and two counts of Failure to Comply with Probation Order after being identified as the person responsible for stealing a backpack containing a laptop, personal identification and wallet from a restaurant on Talbot Street, earlier this week. On Tuesday December 10th 2024, an employee contacted police to report that individual had gained access to the office of the restaurant and stole the backpack. A warrant for the arrest of the 22 year old St. Thomas resident has been requested. ST24022360
