Break and Enter
St. Thomas police are currently investigating a residential break and enter. On Thursday August 8th 2024, officers were called by an alert neighbour who wished to report a home in area had sustained damage to the front door. Police attended a northside address and through investigation found evidence that the front had been damaged and an unknown person had entered the residence. Video surveillance is being reviewed as police continue to investigate. ST24013867
Vehicle Entries
Approximately $40.00 has been reported stolen from a vehicle on Southwick Street. Sometime in the overnight hours of Wednesday August 7th 2024, an unknown person enter the vehicle and took the money. No damage to the vehicle was reported. ST24013863
Approximately $1,200 in purchases have been fraudulently made after a wallet was stolen from a vehicle on Mitchell Street. On Thursday August 8th 2024, the vehicle owner contacted police to report that their car had been entered and their wallet stolen. The individual was alerted to several unauthorized transactions from their bank and reported the incident to police. This remains under investigation. ST24013858

Theft
Several cans of alcohol has been reported stolen. On Thursday August 8th 2024, STPS were called to a retail store on Talbot Street to investigate the incident. It was reported that an unknown person wearing camo cargo shorts and a brown shirt, attended the store and failed to pay for their items. Police are reviewing video surveillance as they continue to investigate. ST24013851
A dark grey, diamondback mountain bike has been reported stolen. On Thursday August 8th 2024, STPS we called at an address on Elizabeth Street to investigate the report on an unknown person entering a backyard in the area and removing the bike. This remains under investigation. ST24013834
A quantity of copper wire has been reported stolen from a construction site. On Thursday August 8th 2024, police were made aware of theft that occurred sometime over the last couple of days. No damage to the property was reported. ST24013832
