Mischief
A vehicle parked in the 800 block of Talbot Street has been reported damaged. On Thursday morning, we were called to the area by an alert neighbour who noticed the damaged vehicle. We attended the area and contacted the owner. CCTV in the area is being reviewed as this remains under investigation. ST25014530
A vehicle parked on St. George Street has been reported damaged. On Thursday, we were contacted by the vehicle owner who wished to report that in the overnight hours, two unknown individuals were captured on their exterior camera causing damage to their car and removing all of the fuel. Officers are reviewing the available video in an effort to identify the parties responsible. This remains under investigation. ST25014533
Warrant Arrests
A 44 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. While on an unrelated call for service on Thursday afternoon, officers located the individual known to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Failure to Comply with Probation. The individual was transported to police headquarters, processed and release with a future court date. ST25014538
A 54 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday, officers were dealing with the individual on an unrelated call for service when they were made aware of an outstanding warrant with the London Police Service. The 54 year old was transported to STPS HQ to be processed on the warrant provided by LPS and was later released on an undertaking with a future court date in London. ST25014548
While on the same call for service, officers located a 42 year old St. Thomas resident known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding probation warrant. The individual was processed and released on an appearance notice to attend court. ST25014551
Theft
An Amazon package has been reported stolen from an address on Roseberry Place. The package was delivered to the porch of the address in the overnight hours on Wednesday. An exterior camera shows the package being stolen just before 6 a.m. Thursday morning. Officers are reviewing the available video in an effort to identify the individual responsible. This remains under investigation. ST25014502
A 29 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after a shoplifting incident on Wednesday evening. Just after 8 p.m. we were called to a retail store on Talbot Street for the report of a person failing to pay for several grocery items. Officers located the individual a short distance away. The 29 year old was charged with Theft under $5,000, processed and release on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST25014506
$90 of groceries have been reported stolen from a downtown retail store. On Thursday, officers were called to the store after CCTV captures the individual leaving the store without paying for their items. The video is being reviewed in an effort to identify the individual responsible. ST25014539
Copper wire has been reported stolen from the rail crossing on Wellington Street. On Thursday, we attended the area for the report of the theft. Upon the removal of the wire, the emergency crossing lights were activated. The damage was repaired and the lights turned off. ST25014540
RIDE
Of the vehicles stopped and their drivers spoken, no infractions were found during a RIDE event in the city this morning. STPS thanks the community for continuing to drive safe and sober. ST25014591
