Recovered stolen vehicle 

The 2021 Dodge Ram Warlock pick up truck that was reported stolen yesterday has been recovered. STPS thanks for the community for their assistance. ST24005716

Warrant Arrest
A 29 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday April 11th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding probation warrant. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed for court and subsequently released by the courts. ST24005724
Traffic stop leads to arrest
A 46 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday April 11th 2024, officers on community patrol initiated traffic stop in the west end of the city. The driver was identified as a St. Thomas resident known to police to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for Breach of Probation, Failure to Comply with Probation and two counts of Assault stemming from an incident in February. The 46 year old was arrested and additionally charged with several Highway Traffic Act offences. They were transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24005762
Theft
Several pieces of merchandise have been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Thursday April 11th 2024, officers were called by management of the store who wished to report an unknown individual had left the store without paying for their items. Video surveillance of the incident is being reviewed as police continue investigate. ST24005727
A 52 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Theft under $5,000 after being identified as the person responsible in a shoplifting incident from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Thursday April 11th 2024, officers were called to the store to investigate the report of approximately $660 of merchandise that had been stolen. Police reviewed video surveillance of the incident and identified the 52 year old St. Thomas resident. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24005748
Dog Owners Liability Act
A St. Thomas dog owner is facing charges. On Thursday April 11th 2024, St. Thomas police were called to investigate an incident regarding a dog causing injury to another dog. Through investigation officers learned that the owners of the dogs were meeting socially when one of dogs acted aggressively toward the other, causing injury. The injured dog was taken to their veterinarian for treatment. The owner of the dog that caused the injury will now face chargers under DOLA. This remains under investigation. ST24005730
