Theft Incidents x 4

Police are investigating four separate thefts reported in recent days:

  • In the early hours of November 1, a woman reported her purse missing following a disturbance in the downtown core. Surveillance footage captured the incident, and investigators are working to identify the suspect. (Incident # ST25020067)
  • In a separate downtown incident, an unknown male stole items from an individual’s backpack. This event was also recorded on video and remains under investigation. (Incident # ST25020131)
  • A resident of an apartment building reported the theft of jewelry from inside their unit. The items were discovered missing on October 31. (Incident # ST25019994)
  • On October 29, a female suspect attempted to shoplift from a local grocery store. A store employee recovered the merchandise, but the suspect fled before police arrived. The investigation is ongoing. (Incident # ST25019997)

Warrant Arrests x 2

Two individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants related to theft:

  • A 65-year-old woman was arrested Saturday on a first-instance warrant for Theft Under $5000. She was released with a scheduled court date. (Incident # ST25020080)
  • A 33-year-old woman was arrested Saturday for failing to attend court in relation to a Theft Under $5000 charge. She was also released with a future court date. (Incident # ST25020092)

Assault Investigations x 2

Police responded to two separate assault incidents:

  • A 32-year-old man was arrested after allegedly assaulting EMS personnel who were providing medical assistance at a downtown address. He faces charges of Assault with a Weapon and Failure to Comply with Probation. He was released pending a court appearance. (Incident # ST25010110)
  • Police are investigating an assault reported at a downtown establishment on Saturday night. The victim stated they were attacked by two unknown males. The investigation is ongoing. (Incident # ST25020135)
