Traffic Stop leads to Criminal Charge
On January 17th 2026, officers conducted a traffic stop on Talbot Street in relation to a Highway Traffic Act violation.
Further investigation revealed that the driver was breaching one of their court ordered conditions. As a result the driver was arrested and charged with one count of Fail to Comply with Probation. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and later released on an Undertaking with a future court date. Additionally, they were issued provincial offence notices for the traffic violation. ST26000894
Warrant Arrest
A 25 year old woman has been arrested. On Saturday evening, officers were on an unrelated call for service and found that the individual had outstanding warrants from Sarnia Police Service. The woman was arrested and turned over to Sarnia Police Service. ST26000921
Traffic Stop
A 36 year old man has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act. Early Sunday morning, officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Talbot Street and First Avenue.
The drivers’ licence was found to be suspended. As a result he was charged and issued summons with a future court date. His vehicle was towed and impounded. ST26000933
RIDE
Early this morning, officers conducted a RIDE spot check to check for impaired drivers and promote road safety. We are pleased to report there were zero infractions.
