Warrant Arrest x 2

On Saturday members of the London Police Service arrested a 65 year old St. Thomas man on the strength of a warrant held by the STPS. The male was serving a sentence in the community and failed to abide by his conditions. The Conditional Sentence Order warrant was executed and the STPS transported the male back to police headquarters to be held for court. ST24002501

Later on Saturday evening police attended a downtown address for reports of a theft. While investigating, police located at 41 year old St. Thomas man that was wanted on an unendorsed warrant for failing to attend court. The male was arrested without incident and transported to police headquarters to be held for court.  ST24002529

Vehicle Entry/ Fraud

Sometime overnight on Friday an unknown person entered an unlocked vehicle and stole the owner’s wallet that had been left inside. A debit card that was stored in the wallet was then used multiple times at convenience stores within the City for a total loss of more than $400. Mischief x 2

Sometime on Thursday and/or Friday night an unknown person slashed the tires to nine new vehicles parked on the lot of a dealership. If you have any information about this incident please contact the STPS at 519-631-1224. ST24002510.

On Saturday evening police were called to a local school for reports of two persons vandalizing a school bus. The parties were gone upon police arrival. Shoplift

On Saturday evening an unknown male attended a St. Thomas business and requested to see a tablet. When the employee placed the tablet on the counter for the customer to look at, he picked it up and ran out of the store without paying for it. Impaired x 2

Shortly after midnight police were called by a staff member from a local establishment reporting a possible impaired driver had just left their business. Police caught up with the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. A roadside breath test was administered and the 43 year old female driver registered a fail. The female was arrested and transported back to police headquarters where further breath tests revealed the driver more the double the legal limit of alcohol in her blood. The female was charged with Impaired Operation – 80 plus and later released with a future court date. ST24002451.

Just after 2am, police were called regarding a second possible impaired driver leaving the same local establishment. Police located the vehicle and a traffic stop was conducted. The 29 year old male driver failed the roadside breath test and was arrested. He was transported to police headquarters where additional breath tests revealed the level of alcohol in his blood was 50% greater than the legal limit. The male was charged with Impaired Operation – 80 plus and later released with a future court date.

Assault

While responding to another police matter during the early hours of Sunday, police received information that a 46 year old St. Thomas man had assaulted another St. Thomas resident at a downtown business. The assault was captured on video. Police located the accused and placed him under arrest for Assault and Obstruct Peace Officer. He was transported to police headquarters where he was later released with a future court date. ST24002549.
