Warrant Arrest

On Friday morning police were assisting a male in the downtown core when they learned the male was currently wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. The 29 year old was taken into custody without incident and transported to Police Headquarters. The male was additionally charged with Utter Forged Document, Fraud Under $5000, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 stemming from a separate investigation. The male was later released by the court. ^7425 and ^7438

On Friday evening police were called to a Talbot St business for an unwanted female party. Police attended and located a 32 year old St Thomas female who was wanted on three outstanding warrants. The female was arrested without incident and transported to Police Headquarters to be held for court. ^7496

Assault

Shortly after 8am on Friday, police attended a residence in the southwest end of the City for reports of an assault. Investigation revealed a 43 year old male had assaulted another resident of the household. The male resisted arrest and an officer sustained a minor injury as a result. The male was charged with Assault and Resist Arrest. In addition, the male was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court to answer to charges of Sexual Assault and Mischief. The male was transported to Police Headquarters where he was processed and later released by the court. ^7432

Warrant

A first instance warrant has been issued for a 33 year old St Thomas man after he is alleged to have breached a condition of his probation order. ^0263

Arrest in Arson Investigation

Members of the Criminal Investigations Branch have identified the suspect involved in the arson to a camper van that occurred Thursday night (ST23007424). A 45 year old St Thomas man turned himself in on Friday afternoon and was charged with one count of Arson. He was later released with a future court date ^7472

Break and Enter

During the late afternoon on Friday, a St Thomas residence observed two male parties inside of her detached garage. The resident confronted the unknown males who dropped the tools they were attempting to steal, then fled on foot. Police arrived quickly and located both male suspects a short distance away. 34 year old Brooks FERRIS and 20 year old Matthew PETERS were both taken into custody without incident and were transported to Police Headquarters to be held for court. FERRIS and PETERS are both charged with Break and Enter and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl). ^7476

Multiple Thefts

Sometime overnight on Thursday a wooden wagon was stolen from the front porch of a north end home. The wagon has black rubber wheels and a pink/red removable side railing. On Friday, Police responded to two separate reports of bicycle thefts. Both incidents occurred in the north end of the City during the evening hours. If you see this orange/red and white Supercycle or this metallic blue Trek 3900 mountain bike, please contact the STPS at 519-631-1224. ^7448/ ^7487
