Recovered iPad Seeking Owner
On September 19, officers responded to reports of a suspicious individual attempting to enter parked vehicles. The suspect was located and arrested on an outstanding warrant. During the arrest, police seized a newer model iPad believed to be stolen. Despite efforts, officers have been unable to identify the rightful owner. Impaired Driving Arrest
A 39-year-old woman was arrested Thursday morning following a report from a concerned citizen who observed her slumped over the steering wheel in a parking lot. Officers arrived to find the woman in the driver’s seat with drug paraphernalia within reach. She was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation by Drug. A subsequent search revealed fentanyl in her possession, resulting in an additional charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Her vehicle was impounded, and she was released with a future court date. Incident: ST25018524
Break and Enter
Police are investigating two related break and enters that occurred in the early morning hours of October 9 near the downtown area:
- A building under construction was forcibly entered, with tools and wiring valued at approximately $7,000 stolen.
- Two storage containers on a nearby property were also broken into.

Mischief to Property
An alleyway fence in the downtown core has sustained repeated damage, reportedly caused by individuals attempting to pass through the area. The damage totals several hundred dollars. Police are investigating. Incident: ST25018530
Shoplift
The Property Crime Unit is investigating the theft of two televisions from a local business on Thursday afternoon. The incident was captured on surveillance video and is currently under review to identify the suspect. Incident: ST25018546
Arrest in Sexual Interference Investigation
The Criminal Investigations Branch has charged a 32-year-old Kitchener man with multiple offences related to child luring and sexual interference involving a victim under the age of 16. The investigation began last week when officers located the suspect in a vehicle with the child during overnight hours. With assistance from Waterloo Regional Police, the suspect was arrested and transported to St. Thomas, where he remains in custody pending a court appearance. Incidents: ST25018284 / ST25018548
