Fire

Shortly after 9am on Friday police responded to a fire in the area of Ross St and Jonas St. An unknown suspect had lit several books on fire inside the Railway City Free Library box. Recovered Stolen E-bike/ Charges Laid

A stolen e-bike has been recovered and returned to its rightful owner. The $1500 e-bike had been taken off the porch of the victim’s home in February. On Friday a 32 year old St Thomas man brought the e-bike to a local shop for repairs and the employee recognized the e-bike as being stolen. As a result of this investigation, police have charged the male with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 and Fail to Comply with Probation x 2. A warrant is being requested. ^4678

Gas Theft/ Stolen Vehicle

On Friday at approximately 4pm an unknown male suspect drove to a local gas station in a black Honda CRV. The male pumped $40 of gas and then left making no attempt to pay for the fuel. Robbery

A 14 year old youth is charged with Robbery with a Weapon following an incident that occurred on Saturday afternoon. The youth instigated an altercation with another group of youths and ultimately stole the youths’ slushies while brandishing a knife. On Sunday, the 14 year old attended the police station with his mother. The youth was arrested without incident and later released with a future court date. ^4690

R.I.D.E

Shortly after 1am on Sunday, members of uniform patrol conducted a R.I.D.E program in the City. There were no violations observed by police.  The STPS thanks the citizens of St. Thomas for driving sober. ^4710

Warrant Arrest

On Sunday afternoon members on general patrol attended an intersection after observing a female impeding traffic. Investigation revealed the 33 year old female was wanted by the London Police Services for failing to attend court and failing to attend for fingerprints. The female was arrested on the strength of the LPS warrant and held in STPS cells until turned over to members of the LPS. ^4767

Theft of Bicycle

Sometime around 6pm on Sunday evening, a bicycle was stolen outside of a local grocery store. The bicycle was locked to a bike rack. The bicycle is a black, blue, and white Hyper 275 mountain bike with a rusty chain. Theft of E-Bike

On Sunday evening between 8pm and 10:30pm a black Jetson e-bike was stolen from outside of a Talbot St restaurant. The bike has a broken side mirror. Please see the attached photo.
