Warrant Arrests, Shoplifters sought, Vehicle Stop leads to multiple charges
A 31yr old St. Thomas woman was arrested early Saturday on the strength of an unendorsed Bench Warrant. The woman had been wanted for previous charges. She was held for Weekend and Statutory Holiday court and later released by the courts. ST26000110
Officers are investigating following 2 separate Shoplifting incidents reported Saturday. The first involved a lone male entering a local LCBO and reportedly stealing a bottle of alcohol valued at $47. The male’s identity is not known at this time and footage was not readily available at the time of the report. ST26000125
The second incident took place at the 1063 block of Talbot Street later in the day. 3 persons were involved in a shoplifting incident, fled the store and got into a vehicle awaiting nearby. At the time of the report the value of items taken during the incident was unknown. ST26000124
Saturday evening, Loss Prevention at a retail store in the 1063 block of Talbot Street, contacted police after witnessing two individuals steal items and get into the same vehicle. Officers were able to stop the vehicle and as a result 5 individuals were arrested. A 39yr old St. Thomas resident has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, Failing to comply with a condition of a release order (x2), she was held for W.A.S.H court and later released. A 37yr old London man was charged with obstruction of justice, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, failing to comply with a condition of his release (x2) as well as failing to comply with a condition of his probation. He was also wanted by other jurisdictions, as such was held in custody and remanded. A 33yr old London woman faces charges of obstruction of justice, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and was also wanted by the London Police. She was provided release documents and turned over to the London Police. A 36yr old London woman was charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, and later released from St. Thomas custody on an undertaking with conditions. The same female was wanted by the London Police, Brantford Police and Woodstock Police. Finally a 35yr old man faces charges of possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, he was also wanted by the London Police and later released on an undertaking with conditions.
