CARELESS USE OF A FIREARM

Yesterday Officers on Community Patrol were called to a local high school after staff report finding bullet holes in a portable.  Officers observed two holes in a portable and they located two 9mm shell casing close by.  This occurred sometime over the summer months.  Video surveillance is being reviewed.  ST23015016

FAIL TO COMPLY WITH RELEASE ORDER

On August 24th, Officers on Community Patrol located a St. Thomas resident who was wanted on a warrant, driving on Talbot Street.  The 57 year old was arrested without incident after a vehicle stop was made.  This resident was charged with Public Mischief in June 2023 and was found to be breaching one of the conditions they were released on.  They were transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing and were later released with a future court date.  ST23015018

WARRANT

Officers on Community Patrol were called to First Avenue on another matter and located a 30 year old St. Thomas resident that was wanted by St. Thomas Police, Aylmer Police, Sarnia Police and the Elgin OPP.  They were arrested without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  Aylmer Police and the OPP attended the station to execute their warrants.  They were lodged in cells to await a court appearance.

MISCHIEF

Officers on Community Patrol attended a northside residence yesterday after the home owner reported damage to their pick up truck topper.  Sometime between August 13th and the 15th, unknown suspects slashed and cut holes in their topper.  ST23015032

VEHICLE ENTRY

Yesterday Officers on Community Patrol attended a northside residence after the home owner reported that sometime overnight someone had entered their unlocked vehicle.  Stolen was some loose change.  ST23015033.

SHOPLIFTING

Officers on Community Patrol attended a store on Talbot Street yesterday after loss prevention officers reported a female had shoplifted.  The suspect had chosen over $100 worth of products and went to the self check out and scanned all their items but failed to pay.  She left in a dark coloured Jeep Cherokee.  Attached is a photo of the suspect, call Police if you can assist in identifying this offender.  ST23015035
