Mischief:
In the early morning hours on Friday the 6th of September Police were contacted to attend a local banking vestibule for reports that the ATM and walls had been damaged with graffiti. Video was reviewed and it revealed a male party, known to Police, had slept in the vestibule overnight and had created the graffiti. The 29-year-old male was later located, arrested and charged with Mischief under $5000.00. The male was released on conditions and a future court date. Incident ST24015888.
Warrant Arrest:
On Friday morning officers were dispatched to a homeless encampment on an unrelated matter when they recognized a female party as being wanted on a warrant held by our service. The 39-year-old female was arrested and transported to the station where she was later released with conditions and a future court date. Incident ST24015881.
On Friday morning a male party turned himself in at the St Thomas Police Service on a warrant related to intimate partner violence. The 38-year-old St Thomas resident was arrest on the warrant for assault and uttering threats. The male was held for court and later released by the courts with conditions. Incident ST24015897.
On Friday afternoon officers on foot patrol observed a male party known to be wanted on a warrant held by our service for unauthorized use of a credit and breach of probation. The 31-year-old St Thomas resident was arrested and later released with a future court date and conditions. Incident ST24015917.
Assault:
In the early morning hours, the St Thomas Police Service attended an address to speak with a male victim who reported being assaulted by another male. The victim had gone out with friends for the night and was at a friend’s residence afterwards when he was struck in the face by a male acquaintance who had been hanging out with the group. The victim received significant bruising to his face and was taken to hospital for precautionary medical treatment. As a result of the investigation a warrant is being sought for a 38-year-old St Thomas resident for assault. Incident ST24015963.
