Media release – 22nd of October 2023

Robbery:

On the morning of Saturday the 21st of October 2023 two youths contacted the St Thomas Police Service to report being robbed in an east end parking lot. The two youths were in the parking lot using scooters when they were approached by two other male youths- who were carrying knives. The suspects took the scooters. Video is being obtained of the incident. Theft of Bicycle:

On the 21st of October 2023 a local resident reported her bicycle was stolen from the bike rack outside of an east end business. The bike is described as being a Black Infinity Boss – valued at $500. Video is being obtained related to the incident and the matter is under investigation. Warrant arrests:

On the 21st of October officers on general patrol observed a 32 year old male that they knew was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The St Thomas resident was arrested on the warrant and taken to the station to be held for court. The male was later released by the courts. Incident ST23018649

On the 21st of October 2023 a 64 year old male turned himself in at the front counter of the St Thomas Police Service related to an ongoing sexual assault investigation conducted by the Criminal Investigations Branch. The male was arrested and charged with sexual assault and invitation to sexual touching. The male was later released on an undertaking with conditions. Incident ST23018600.
