Warrant arrest:

On Saturday morning we were contacted by members of the Oxford OPP detachment who requested that we attend an address seeking to arrest a male party for breach of communication conditions related to a previous release order held by their service. We attended and arrested the 37-year-old male who was later turned over to custody of the OPP. Incident ST25014659.

Theft/Breach of undertaking/Possess break and enter tools:

On Saturday afternoon we were called to a south end business for reports of a male who had stolen from the store, but also entered a customer’s vehicle in the parking lot and stolen items from the customer as well. Video was reviewed and two involved male parties were recognized by Police. These males were known to be on conditions not to associate with each other based on previous charges. Officers located both males a short time later and they were arrested. Search incident to arrest both male parties were found to have break and enter tools on their persons. A 36-year-old male was arrested for theft under $5000.00, failure to comply with an undertaking x2, and possession of break and enter tools. This male was released on conditions with a future court date. A 35-year-old male was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime, failure to comply with an undertaking x2, and possession of break and enter tools. This male was also wanted for a shoplifting incident from July (ST25012505) and was charged with theft under $5000.00 related to that incident. Shoplift(s):

On Saturday evening we received a report from staff at an east end business regarding a shoplifting incident where a male had left the store without pay for merchandise earlier in the afternoon. Police attended and reviewed video with staff and were able to identify a male known to them as the suspect. This male also currently had a warrant for his arrest for mischief to a downtown business. The 34-year-old male was later located and charged with mischief and theft under $5000.00. The male was released on an undertaking with conditions. ST25014700/ ST25014723

The same business also reported a shoplifting incident from later in the evening. A male was observed on camera taking items without paying. The male was identified from surveillance video by attending officers. A warrant is currently being sought for the 39-year-old suspect, to be charged with theft under $5000.00 Incident ST25014635.

Mischief:

On Saturday night we were contacted by a female victim residing in the west end of the city who reported damage to her vehicle. We attended and spoke with the victim and her boyfriend who advised that a 26-year-old male friend of the boyfriend had been extremely intoxicated and had argued with both parties before threatening to scratch and damage the vehicle as he left and via text messages after the fact. Through investigation grounds were formed and a warrant is being sought for the male suspect, charged with mischief x2. Incident ST25014713.

Intimate Partner Violence:

Early Sunday morning we received a 911 call about a disturbance in the downtown core. We attended and located a male party arguing with two female parties. It was learned that the sober male had attended from home to offer his common-law partner and his sister a ride from a local licenced establishment when the two intoxicated females began to argue with the victim and the argument turned physical. The female sister was arrested for public intoxication and later released on a provincial offences notice when sober. The 34-year-old female common-law partner was charged with one count of spousal assault and held for weekend court. Incident ST25014724
