Media release 11th of October 2025

Shoplifting incidents:

On Friday the 10th of October 2025 we were contacted by an east end business regarding a shoplifting incident that had occurred on the 8th of October. On that date a male attended the store shortly after 7pm and left without paying for meat and other grocery items valued at almost $400.00. The male is described as being approximately 6’ foot tall, 170-190 lbs., having a black beard and wearing a white ball cap. Video has been obtained and the matter is under investigation.  Incident ST25018591.

On Friday evening we were called to the same business for another shoplifting incident. A female party had left the store earlier in the day without paying for merchandise. The staff member was able to obtain a license plate for the vehicle the female had been using and the matter is under investigation. Incident ST25018645.

On Friday afternoon we were contacted by another east end business regarding a shoplifting incident that had occurred earlier that morning. On that date a male left without paying for clothing valued at $300.00. The male is described as being of a heavier build, wearing a black sweater, blue jeans and having a beard. Video has been obtained and the matter is under investigation.  Incident ST25018610.

On Friday night we were contacted by a north end business regarding a male shoplifter that had left the store without paying for merchandise. The male was described as wearing a red toque and grey pants. The male left the area on a bicycle. Officers are waiting for video to be provided and the matter is under investigation Incident ST25018652.

Warrant arrest:

On Friday officers on general patrol observed a female in the downtown core that they knew to be wanted on a bench warrant for mischief and failure to comply with a previous release order. The 37-year-old woman was arrested on the strength of the warrant, transported to the station and held for court. The female was remanded into custody by the courts. Incident ST25018604.

Damage to vehicle:

We were called to a west end residence regarding damage to a vehicle in the driveway. The homeowner reported that the driver’s side window was smashed at some point overnight – however nothing was missing from inside. Recovered Stolen Vehicle:

On Friday night we were contacted by the Montreal Police Service regarding the recovery of an e-bike reported stolen in April of this year (ST25006750). The registered owner of the e-bike was contacted by our service and provided the recovery details and contact information to retrieve the stolen property. Incident ST25018635.

Vehicle entry, theft:

On Friday night a local resident reported that they had left their vehicle at a local dealership for repairs and at some point, the vehicle had been entered and a small amount of property was taken. Missing are women’s Ray-ban sunglasses, a phone charger and vehicle documentation. Incident ST25018642.
