THEFTS

On May 29th a citizen reported to Police that their item that was delivered to their address had been stolen.  The citizen reported that they received notification that their item was delivered and arrived home sometime later and discovered the item had been stolen.  Value of the item was $500.  ST23009289.

Officers on Community Patrol attended a St. Thomas business at the east end of Talbot Street to a report of a stolen bicycle.  The blue and white CCM bicycle had been left unlocked at the business and it was stolen yesterday.  ST23009294

On May 31st Officers on Community Patrol attended a business in the east end of Talbot Street after a citizen reported a theft of their catalytic converter.  Sometime over the previous three days, the converter was stolen from their motor home.  Value of theft is $1,000.  ST23009312.

Yesterday at 5:40pm Officers on Community Patrol attended a store on Talbot Street in regards to a shoplifter.  The 31 year old St. Thomas resident was located a short distance away and was arrested without incident.   They were transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  They were charged with Theft under $5,000 and were later released with a future court date.

VEHICLE ENTRIES

Officers on Community Patrol attended two residences on Wellington Street yesterday morning after both residents reported their unlocked vehicles were entered sometime overnight.  Stolen was some loose change and sunglasses.  ST23009299 and ST23009300.

MISCHIEF

Officers on Community  Patrol attended a Sunset Road address after a report of mischief yesterday.  Police spoke to resident who reported that sometime overnight someone had smashed one of the windows to their motor home.  Damage is estimated at $2,000.  ST23009303.

WARRANT ARRESTS

City Police executed four arrest warrants yesterday.

Officers on Community Patrol were called to a report of unwanted people behind an apartment building on Talbot Street.  Police located a 36 year old St. Thomas resident that was wanted on outstanding warrants.  They were arrested without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  They were held overnight for morning court.

Officers on Community Patrol were called to a disturbance last night to an apartment on Talbot Street.  Police located a 34 year old St. Thomas resident that was wanted for failing to attend court.  They were arrested without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  They missed court in relation to an assault charge from 2021.  They were held overnight for morning court.

Aylmer Police arrested an 45 year old Aylmer resident last night on the strength of their warrant.  They contacted STPS to report that we also held a warrant for this individual.  The person was transported to the Colin McGregor Building.  Their charges are from a theft in 2022.  They were held overnight for morning court.

Officers on Community Patrol early this morning located a 40 year old St. Thomas resident at the east end of Talbot Street. They were wanted for failing to attend court in relation to drug and break and enter charges from 2021 and 2022.  They were arrested without incident and released with a future court date.
