Update: Fraud investigation leads to arrest – 5 additional people charged

St. Thomas ON – Wednesday December 20th 2023

As the result of an ongoing fraud investigation, five additional people have been charged.

Through investigation, the St. Thomas Police Service’ Criminal Investigation Branch have charged:

38 year old Kenneth McClain with one count Identity Theft and one count Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. ST23021907

33 year old Anthony Mizon with one count Identity Theft, one count Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and one count Failure to Comply with Probation Order. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. ST23021908

45 year old John MacIntyre with one count Identity Theft. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. ST23021909

30 year old Taylor Winder with one count Identity Theft. A warrant has been issued for her arrest. ST23021910

31 year old Amber Rutter with one count Identity Theft and one count Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. On Monday December 18th 2023, Rutter attended police headquarters to turn herself in on the outstanding warrant held by our service. She was processed and released on an under taking with a future court date. ST23021911

St. Thomas ON – Tuesday October 3rd, 2023

A fraud investigation initiated earlier this year has led to the arrest of a 30 year old Fingal resident.

Through investigation, Kali Robinson – Bobier was identified as the suspect responsible in numerous fraud investigations throughout South Western Ontario. Over the course of several months, the 30 year old attended various financial institutions and obtained loans and lines of credit with forged photo identification and bank documents.

On Wednesday September 6th 2023, Kali Robinson – Bobier was arrested and charged with:

  • 8 counts of Possession of Stolen Property Obtained by Crime
  • 6 counts of Identity Theft
  • 5 counts of Forgery
  • 2 counts Use, Deals, Acts on forged documents
  • 1 count Possession of a Scheduled Substance -Methamphetamine
  • 1 count Possession of a Scheduled Substance -Opioid

The 30 year old was transported to police headquarters where she was processed on the charges and was held for court.

Robinson-Bobier was remanded into custody and has since been released on several conditions with a future court date.
