Fail to Stop

St. Thomas Police were conducting a seat belt lane, when a vehicle came through the checkpoint, and the driver was not wearing a seat belt. The vehicle pulled over to the side of the road as directed, but as the officer approached, the vehicle took off. Police began pursuing the vehicle, but it was clear the vehicle was not going to stop, and the officer discontinued the attempt. Clear observations were made of the driver and the vehicle. A short time later, the same vehicle re-attended the seat belt lane, this time with a different driver. There was new visible damage to the front end of the vehicle making it unfit to drive. Through investigation it was revealed that the first driver, a 24-year-old St. Thomas resident was a suspended driver, and now faces numerous charges including Failing to Stop, and failing to wear a seatbelt. Thefts

St. Thomas Police were called to a north end residential area for a theft. The complainant reports that while at a residential job site, a work truck parked outside, was left unlocked. Inside the truck the complainant left, a wallet and jacket. Both were stolen, and since the theft, there has been $750 in purchases using the complainant’s cards. The incident is still under investigation, as video surveillance is being reviewed. ST26001574.

A theft was reported to the St. Thomas Police, after two individuals attended an east end retail store, and were captured on camera, leaving with a cart full of merchandise. The pair were observed leaving in a vehicle, and a license plate was obtained. The incident is still under investigation, and video is being reviewed. ST26001580

Intimate Partner Violence

St. Thomas Police attended the north side of the city for a person in crisis call. The complainant reported that an individual was screaming outside, and had a weapon. Upon arrival, police were able to quickly apprehend the individual that was in crisis. While on scene, the partner of the individual was located with injuries requiring medical attention. Further information revealed that the partner was on conditions to not be near the other, was charged accordingly, and provided a future court date. It was disclosed during the investigation that the injuries sustained and that previous injuries were the result of domestic violence. Fraud

A 65-year-old St. Thomas resident is out almost $9000 dollars after falling victim to a fraud. The caller identified as a TD employee with the fraud department. The call display appeared to be the same number that was on the back of the bank card. The victim provided the fake fraud department with the requested visa and debit card numbers, to then notice multiple unauthorized transactions totaling almost $9000. ST26001578

Warrant Arrests

A 43-year-old St. Thomas resident was located and arrested on an outstanding warrant for Theft, from 2025. The individual was transported to police headquarters and held for a court appearance. ST26001590, ST25017525

A 66-year-old St. Thomas resident was located and arrested on an outstanding bench warrant for Assault from 2025. The individual was released with a future court date. ST26001593, ST25016876

A 41-year-old St. Thomas resident was located and arrested on an outstanding warrant in relation to an impaired investigation from 2025. The individual was transported to police headquarters and held for a court appearance. ST26001596, ST25017581

A 38-year-old St. Thomas resident was located and arrested on an outstanding warrant from a shoplifting incident earlier this year. The individual as released with a future court date. ST26001597, ST26000414
