On Tuesday, February 21, 2023 the St. Thomas Police Street Crime Unit, with assistance from the Property Crime Unit and the K-9 Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at an Alma Street address. During the search warrant, multiple people were taken into police custody, and Officers seized a quantity of illicit drugs including Fentanyl, Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Crystal Methamphetamine, and prescription pills. Also seized were various prohibited weapons. All of the suspects were transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building for processing, and as a result:
19 year old, Jordan Melvin is charged with:
- Five counts Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
- Five counts Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
19 year old, Mikkenna Northrup is charged with:
- Five counts Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
- Five counts Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
