Break & Enter

St. Thomas Police, while on general patrol, observed a residential door open. The residence located just north of the downtown area, appeared to be vacant. The property owner was not available at the time of the incident. Police were unable to confirm if there were any damages or property taken. The door was secured, and the incident is still under investigation. ST25008120.

Thefts

St. Thomas Police received an online report regarding a theft of a white mountain bike. The owner reports the bike was taken from a shed in the back yard of a residence in the city’s south east end. Police are waiting to follow up with the complainant, and the incident is still under investigation. ST25008125.

St. Thomas Police attend a residential area just north of downtown for a theft. The homeowner reports an unknown individual was caught on camera stealing a Muskoka chair off the front porch. The individual has been identified by police, and a warrant has been issued for their arrest. ST25008158.

St. Thomas Police attend an east end business for a theft. The Loss Prevention Officer observed two teenagers select merchandise and proceed to checkout. The individuals paid for some of the selected items, but failed to pay for the Sirloin steak that was concealed under one of the suspects shirts. A vehicle involved was captured on video. A review of evidence has identified one of the individuals, and a warrant has been issued for their arrest. ST25008160.

Intimate Partner Violence

A 39-year-old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police attend a north end residential area for a 911 call.  The complainant reported that their partner had been drinking, and began acting in a violent and aggressive way. The individual was charged with Uttering threats to cause death- spousal, domestic mischief, and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. The individual was held for a court appearance. R.I.D.E

St. Thomas Police conducted a R.I.D.E program (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere), in the city’s north end. Approximately 30 vehicles were stopped, and driver sobriety checked.  There were no impaired charges, and 1 Highway Traffic Act Offence notice issued, as a result. ST25008174.
