Break and Enter leads to multiple arrests and warrants
Shortly before 8 am on Tuesday, August 26th, St. Thomas Police responded to a 911 call regarding a break and enter in progress. A witness phoned 911 at 07:51 hours, when they observed on video, multiple people enter a downtown business through broken windows. Quickly Officers arrived on scene and had the first suspect in custody at 07:52 hours. A 32-year-old St. Thomas resident was arrested, still in possession of stolen property, and charged with Break and Enter – Commit indictable Offence, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. The individual was transported to Police Headquarters for processing and taken over to the courthouse, where they were remanded into custody. Further investigation, and video evidence revealed 2 more suspects. As a result of the investigation, a 2nd Suspect was identified and a 36-year-old St. Thomas resident was arrested and charged with Break and Enter – Commit indictable Offence, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. The individual was transported to Police Headquarters for processing and released with a future court date. A 3rd Suspect has also been identified as a 38-year-old St. Thomas resident and a warrant is out for their arrest. The incident is still under investigation. ST25015320
