St. Thomas, ON – Sunday April 13th 2025
A 28 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after an incident in the city, last night.
At 10:30 pm, we received multiple 911 calls in regards to a disturbance at an apartment building on the northside of the city. Several callers reported an individual was being assaulted in the hallway of the building.
We arrived and located the individuals involved, learning the 28 year old had assaulted a neighbour.
While attempting to speak with the 28 year old and inform them of their charges, the accused physically assaulted the arresting officer and threatened their well being. The 28 year old was taken into custody, charged with Assault, Assault Police and Uttering Threats.
The individual was transported to police headquarters to be processed. While officers attempted to process the individual on their charges, the 28 year old spat in the face of the officer in charge and continued with threatening the well being of the officers involved in the incident.
The 28 year old was additionally charged with two counts of Assault Police and Uttering Threats.
Once processed, and after speaking with their lawyer, the accused then caused damage to the phone and room in which they were speaking with their lawyer. They were additionally charged with Mischief.
The 28 year old was processed on a total of eight charges and held for a court appearance. ST25006014
