ASSAULT, IPV, COUNTERFEIT MONEY, RECOVERED STOLEN PROPERTY, WARRANT ARRESTS AND A R.I.D.E. PROGRAM

ASSAULT

A 37 and 39 year old mother and father were arrested Friday May 2nd by members of our Criminal Investigation Branch and a search warrant was executed on their southeast home later that afternoon. It is alleged that the parents assaulted their children who ranged from two to fourteen years of age,  over an extended period of time.  The parents were remanded into custody and a bail hearing is set for this week.  They stand charged with multiple counts of Assault with a Weapon and Assault. ASSAULT- IPV

We are searching for a 34 year old St. Thomas resident is wanted after allegations of Assault with a Weapon, Dangerous Operation and Criminal Harassment involving an ex-partner and their new partner.  This incident stems from an occurrence on May 2nd.  ST25007282

Also, we responded to a residence in the south end of the City May 3rd in regard to IPV incident.  A 41 year old St. Thomas resident was arrested for assault, who was later released from custody with a future court date.  ST25007312

COUNTERFEIT MONEY

Over the weekend, officers attended a store situated at 1063 Talbot Street, where a money manager had received six- twenty dollar bills that they believed were counterfeit.  The bills were seized after a query confirmed they were in fact counterfeit.  We are requesting that you remain vigilant when accepting currency.  ST25007369

RECOVERED STOLEN PROPERTY

On May the Fourth- be with you, an E-Bike was reported stolen from an address on Chestnut Street and recovered stashed under construction equipment a short time later.  The E-Bike was returned to the owner.  ST25007382.

WARRANT ARRESTS

A 42 year old London resident was arrested May 4th on outstanding Provincial Offences warrant stemming from a 2019 incident.  They were transported to the police station and remanded into custody, awaiting a bail hearing later this week.  ST25007411/ST19013653.

During the early morning hours of May 5th, two separate arrests were made, coincidently involving outstanding bench warrants.  A 53 year old London resident was arrested on the outstanding bench warrant from that jurisdiction.  They were transported to the St. Thomas police station where custody was transferred to the London Police Service.  The second arrest involved a 44 year old St. Thomas resident, who was arrested and transported to the police station and eventually remanded to a future court date. RIDE PROGRAM

A RIDE program was set up during the morning hours of May 5th.  We are happy to report that no infractions were reported!  ST25007415.
