An 18 year old London resident has been arrested following an assault investigation.
On Sunday March 23rd, police were called to investigate the report of an assault and unwanted communication. Through investigation, officers learned the victim had been previously assaulted by their now ex-partner.
Through further investigation, it was learned that the victim who had ended the relationship, had been receiving messages and threats to cause harm.
As a result, the 18 year old was charged with Assault, Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Criminal Harassment and Uttering Threats to Cause Death.
With the assistance of the London Police Service, a search warrant of the accused residence was executed and resulted in the seizure of a machete, bear spray and a black pellet hand gun.
The 18 year old was arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25004744
