Four Counties Traffic Project Results in 18 Charges

The St. Thomas Police Service hosted members of the Aylmer Police Service, London Police Service, Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service,  and Stratford Police Service for the Four Counties Traffic Project on Thursday July 16th, 2026.

Officers conducted focused traffic enforcement throughout St. Thomas, with particular attention to speeding, seat belt use, distracted driving, intersections of concern and roundabouts.

As a result of the enforcement initiative, officers laid 18 charges:

  • 12 speeding
  • Two driving while using a hand held communication device
  • One driving without a currently validated permit
  • One insecure load
  • One vehicle without a muffler
  • One driver failing to wear a seat belt

The Four Counties Traffic Project brings police services together to conduct coordinated enforcement and address driving behaviours that place road users at risk.
